Mark L. Nixon, age 53, died suddenly Saturday November 29th, 2014 at St. joseph Hospital. Born in Joliet, he was a lifelong resident. Joliet East class of 1979. He was employed by Kellogg Corporation. Preceded in death by his mother, four uncles and six aunts. He is survived by his three children: Shashonna Cole of Lockport, IL, Miranda Nixon and Raphael Nixon of Joliet; Two grandchildren; Jaylen and Caliyah; Three brothers: John (Margaret) Nixon Jr., Carey (Joy) Nixon and Joseph (Cheryl) Nixon. Two sisters: Debra Kay Betts and Annette McCullum all of Joliet and his father John E. Nixon Sr. of Joliet. Nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends also survive. Funeral services will be 4:00pm Saturday December 6th, 2014 at Shiloh Baptist Church, 18101 West Oak Avenue, Lockport, IL 60441. Visitation 3:00PM – 4:00PM.
