Megabit! Joliet Woman Viciously Chomped on Back of Man Who Reneged on Deal For Second-Hand Computer: Cops

The woman's boyfriend and one of his relatives broke into the house and attacked the man before the biting started, police said.

A Joliet woman viciously chomped away on a man’s back during a brawl over a busted deal for a second-hand computer, police said.

Tanya George, 30, was jailed on a charge of aggravated battery in connection with the alleged Sunday night attack on her next-door neighbor.

George’s live-in lover, 36-year-old Edward Prater, was also carted off to the county jail, as was William Prater, 37, who also resides with George and Edward Prater. Edward and William Prater are family, police said, but the law was unsure exactly how the two men are related.

William Prater and his 50-year-old next-door neighbor agreed on a deal for a computer, police said, but the neighbor backed out.

William Prater then appeared at the door of the man’s Seeser Street home Sunday morning and demanded $50, police said. The man reportedly refused and William Prater called him outside to fight. The older man declined and William Prater departed.

But William Prater returned that night and this time had Edward Prater and George along with him, police said. He again called out the 50-year-old to fight, police said, and when he would not, Edward Prater kicked in the door and punched a 57-year-old resident of that address in the face, knocking him unconscious. William Prater then got into the act by punching the 50-year-old in the head.

The fracas spilled onto the porch of the house, police said, where William Prater continued punching the 50-year-old in the head and started kicking him in the stomach. He also allegedly proclaimed that he was trying to kill the older man.

The 50-year-old responded by biting William Prater’s bicep and calf. And that was when George jumped in and repeatedly bit the man in the back, leaving it deeply gouged with multiple wounds, police said.

The Praters were charged with aggravated battery and home invasion. On top of the aggravated battery charge, George was hit with allegedly holding some pot.
