Triple Play Scalper Tripped Up By Undercover Cop: Police

The New Lenox man was trying to make some money off the highly coveted New Lenox Triple Play concert tickets, police said.

A New Lenox man trying to turn a profit by scalping highly coveted Triple Play concert tickets screwed up by selling them to an undercover cop, police said.

Erik Peterson, 49, had posted a flier in Jewel listing the tickets for sale at more than their face value, police said.

A detective posing as a prospective customer reportedly called Peterson and set up a deal to buy the tickets for $100 apiece. Peterson was charged with scalping after he allegedly consummated the deal Tuesday evening.
