Several people who learned of the news on social media praised Mickey's Gyros for taking measures that are, nonetheless, sure to cost the Crest Hill business thousands of dollars in lost revenue.
"Oh my goodness! I just told my husband we need to get ribs Monday or Tuesday," one woman commented on Facebook. "I’m glad you’re taking the necessary precautions and hope your sick employee recovers quickly and without issue. I hope everyone else stays healthy too."
"Proud of you and your brother as friends and customers," one man wrote on Facebook. "Speaks volume about integrity. I've heard of other businesses having employees test positive and not taking thorough measures to eliminate spread. I'd imagine it's a hard decision to make to shut it down completely. Hoping for a speedy recovery for your employee and the business."
