More Trouble At Lois Place, Man Points Gun At Woman: Police

The victim and her daughter managed to escape in a vehicle, Joliet police noted. Jordan Loya, age 30, was later arrested and taken to jail.

JOLIET, IL — A 30-year-old Joliet man who previously lived in Bolingbrook is now in the Will County Jail after Joliet police say Jordan Loya attacked a woman at the Lois Place apartment buildings and pointed a gun at her on Valentine's Day morning.

Joliet police say Loya was delivered to the Will County Jail to face charges of domestic battery, aggravated assault and interference with reporting of domestic violence.

At 2:38 a.m. on Valentine's Day, officers responded to an apartment in the 900 block of Lois Place for a domestic disturbance.

During an argument in the apartment, Loya grew angry and took the woman's phone. Loya then pointed a handgun at the victim at which time she and her 13-year-old daughter ran from the apartment. Loya chased after the victim and struck the victim in the face. T

The victim and her daughter were able to escape in a vehicle; Loya was placed into custody without incident.

Officers recovered the handgun that was believed to be used in the incident, English noted.
