More Violence At Riverwalk Homes Apartments, Joliet Police Make Arrest
Steven Washington's victim was able to escape from the attack and call 911, Joliet police arrest reports show.

JOLIET, IL — A tenant who lives in the Joliet public housing units in the 300 block of North Bluff Street is now detained in Will County Jail's after Joliet police say 33-year-old Steven O. Washington used his arms to choke a woman, punch her and then pull on her hair.
Joliet police hauled away Washington in handcuffs on felony charges of aggravated domestic battery.
Joliet police arrest reports indicate that officers were summoned to the city's near west side along the canal at 10:19 p.m. Saturday.

According to the police:
Officers responded to Riverwalk Homes Apartments at 316 North Bluff Street for a domestic disturbance. Upon arrival, Joliet's officers learned that during an argument, Washington choked the woman, struck her and pulled her hair. The victim managed to escape from Washington's attack and called 911.
