Morris Man Fights Over Flower at Shorewood Bar: Cops
The man allegedly took a flower from a vase on the bar to give his lady friend, then attacked a bystander when he was told to put it back.

A Morris man lashed out at some guy in a Shorewood bar after he was told to put back a flower he plucked from a vase to give to his lady friend, police said.
Douglas Cherrone, 34, landed in jail for his alleged attack on the man, who was only trying to settle everyone down, police said.
Cherrone was drinking with his lady friend at Bedrocks on West Jefferson Street Saturday afternoon when he decided to pick a flower from a vase on the bar and offer it to the woman, police said.

A bar worker told Cherrone to put the flower back but he refused, police said. He was then reportedly ordered to leave.
Cherrone pushed the Bedrocks employee, police said, and another customer stepped in an attempt to calm everybody down.

That attempt did not work out so well, police said, as Cherrone punched the man in the head four or five times. Cherrone was then physically removed from the bar.
Cherrone got into his car and “recklessly” drove away, nearly hitting the building as he departed, police said. The cops pulled him over less than a mile down the road and he was allegedly so uncooperative during the traffic stop that officers had to yank him out of his car.
Cherrone was booked into the Will County jail on charges of aggravated battery and resisting police.
