New Executive Director at Will County Health Dept.
Susan Olenek will replace John Cicero beginning Feb. 1, 2016.

The Will County Board of Health has appointed Susan Olenek to replace John Cicero as Will County Health Department Executive Director, effective February 1, 2016.
Like Cicero, who is retiring after nearly 37 years on the job, Olenek is an agency veteran with vast experience on multiple fronts. She boasts more than 27 years of public health experience and has served the agency in seven capacities, most recently as Assistant Executive Director.

A Lincoln-Way Area resident since 1971, Olenek graduated from Lincoln-Way High School before earning a Bachelor’s of Science degree from the School of Biological Sciences at Illinois State University. She is currently completing work on a Masters in Organizational Leadership from Lewis University.
Olenek began her Health Department career in the Division of Environmental Health, where she became a Licensed Environmental Health Practitioner. She also has extensive Human Resources experience and remains a member of the Society for Human Resources Management. She is also a member of the Joliet Council for Working Women, a division of the Joliet Region Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
