Niko's Pizzeria Says, 'Stay Safe Everybody' Amid Coronavirus

Niko's Pizzeria is the only business open at the Ohio Street commercial strip mall on the northern edge of downtown Joliet.

JOLIET, IL —Every business is closed at the Ohio Street commercial strip mall on the northern edge of Joliet's downtown, except for one place. Niko's Pizzeria remains a vibrant restaurant for carryout and delivery orders amid the new coronavirus outbreak. On Tuesday afternoon, Joliet Patch interviewed the owner, Niko.

He asked that his last name not be used because everybody knows him as Niko.

Sure enough, Niko had a busy lunch crowd as several people came inside for their carryout orders. One of his afternoon drivers was busy hauling orders all over Joliet. Niko's handles delivery orders with ease. The pizza restaurant at 20 Ohio St. has four delivery vehicles.
