Her memory remains a guiding light to those who knew her.

Cynthia E. Kalberg

Cynthia E. Kalberg, passed away peacefully at the age of 69, on August 1, 2025, at Lightways Hospice Home, surrounded by the love of her family. She was born in Dallas, TX, on October 13, 1955, the daughter of the late Ronald and Alice (nee Otten) Emo.

Cynthia retired from teaching as a PE and Health teacher after 35 years of dedication to her students. She loved to show Siberian Huskies at dog shows when she was able. Her greatest love was spending time with her family, especially her children and grandchildren.

Cynthia is survived by her loving husband, Robert; her children, Stacey (Jake) Pitts, Michael (April) Kalberg; grandchildren, Camden and Hayden Pitts, Mason, Noah, and Simon Kalberg; sisters, Jackie (Robert) Manning, Kathy (Tom) Siegel; niece, Christy (Chris) Malbon, and nephews, Dr. Nick (Nicole) Siegel and Mark (Kelli) Manning.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.

A Memorial Gathering for Cynthia E. Kalberg will be held Saturday, August 23, 2025, at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black Rd., Joliet from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. Due to her request, cremation rites have been accorded.
