Gail L. Sturm

Gail L. Sturm, age 75, passed away suddenly, Tuesday, May 3, 2022, at Amita Health St. Joseph Medical Center in Joliet. Born in Chicago on December 12, 1946 to the late Casimier and LaVerne Gabrysiak. Gail worked for many years as a travel agent at various agencies in the Chicago area. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Joliet. Gail was known for being an excellent cook and took great joy in sharing her meals with all of her friends and family. Most importantly, she was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother. She will be dearly missed.

Gail is survived by her husband of over 50 years, Marcus Sturm; her daughter, Kasie (Ron) Rogowski, and son, Matthew (Monica) Sturm; grandchildren, David and Emilia Rogowski, Gabriella Laurel, and Talen Sturm; brother, Robert (Nicki) Gabrysiak; sister, Lynn (David) Elzinga; and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews, and cousins.

All friends and family are invited to join in a celebration of Gail’s life, which will begin with a visitation on Monday, May 9, 2022, from 4:00 to 8:30 p.m. at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black Rd. (at Essington Rd.), Joliet. Funeral services will follow on Tuesday morning at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be private.
