Obituary: Jalayne Bowman
Life-loving volunteer of All Herding Breed Dog Rescue passes away at age 57.

Jalayne P. Bowman
Age 57, of Joliet, Illinois passed from this life unexpectedly, Wednesday, August 2, 2023. She was born April 22, 1966, in South Bend, Indiana to the late Judy McConahay and Jerry Crumley. She was raised in Gardner and graduated from Gardner South Wilmington High School, Class of 1984.

Jalayne is the beloved wife of 33 years to Geary Bowman; loving mother of Lacie Bond and Danielle (Ryan) Cocanig; dearest grandmother of Mason, Soraya, Niya and Raegan. Also surviving are her siblings, Janice (Clinton) Flint, Jerry (Pam) Crumley, Jeffrey (Luci) Crumley and Josh Crumley as well as several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Preceded in death by her parents and one brother, David McConahay.

Jalayne was employed at PNA Molding in Romeoville. She loved the Denver Broncos, going to concerts, enjoying life with her friends and family, and especially going shopping with Danielle!
A Memorial Gathering for Jalayne will be held Sunday, August 6, 2023, from 1:00 – 4:00 p.m. at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home 3200 Black Rd. (at Essington Rd.) Joliet. A Service of Remembrance at 4:00 p.m. will conclude the day. As it was Jalayne’s wish, cremation rites will be accorded.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Jalayne’s name can be made to All Herding Breed Dog Rescue of Illinois (for which Jalayne volunteered) or any organization supporting the well-being of animals.
To honor Jalayne and her bright personality, please wear colorful clothing and/or your favorite football jersey on Sunday.
