Joyce Louise Flynn, (nee Stroh), age 84, of Joliet, IL passed away Tuesday, January 5, 2021 at Amita Health St. Joseph Medical Center. She was born to the late Fran and Art Stroh in Joliet, IL where she was raised, educated and lived her entire life. Joyce graduated with the Class of 1953 from Joliet Township High School.
She is the beloved mother of John C. (Shawn) Flynn, Jr. of Joliet, Dennis (Diane) Flynn and Terry (Carol) Flynn, both of Channahon; loving and devoted grandmother of Shannon Flynn, John Jenny) Flynn, Melissa (Justin) Stefanski and Kevin (Lauren) Flynn, Kelly (Joe) Wilda and Megan Flynn; proud great-grandmother of eight great grandchildren.

Preceded in death by her husband, John C. Flynn, III and her parents.
Joyce retired from Jewel Food Stores several years ago. She was a member of the WOTM Chapter #84 of the Joliet Moose Lodge. Her hobbies included knitting afghans, baking and cooking for her family and friends, all of who referred to her as "Ma". Other interests were the not frequent enough trips to Vegas as well as her passion for fishing and boating.

A Memorial Visitation for Joyce will be held Wednesday, January 13, 2021 from 5-7 p.m. at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home 3200 Black Rd. (at Essington Rd.) Joliet. Facemasks and distancing are required and capacity restrictions will be followed.
Interment will take place at a later date with her beloved late husband at Elmhurst Cemetery in Joliet.
