Juanita Showers

Juanita Showers, of Romeoville, passed away peacefully at the age of 94, on Saturday evening, April 1, 2023. Juanita was born in Indiana to the late Edith and Perry McCain and was raised in the Anderson and Fowler areas. She resided there until moving to Illinois many years ago.

Juanita retired from AT & T as a Draftsman after several years of dedicated service. In her free time, she enjoyed square dancing and spending time with her family. She had a love for animals, especially dogs and cats. Juanita will be missed by all who loved her.

Juanita is the loving mother of Debbie (Doug) Gengler, Robert N. (Karyn) Showers and Diane Showers (Brittany Alsip); beloved grandmother of Richard J. (Nancy) Mundorf; and proud great-grandmother of Tegan and Tyler Mundorf.

In addition to her beloved husband Robert J. Showers, Juanita is also preceded in death by her parents and siblings.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in her name to Ahlzheimer’s Association.

Funeral Services for Juanita Showers were held at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Joliet, IL where she was interred alongside her husband Robert. May they rest in peace.
