Linda Kay Stone
Linda Kay Stone, age 75, of Joliet, passed away Tuesday, July 4, 2023 at Ascension St. Joseph Medical Center.

Born May 9, 1948 in Joliet, she was the daughter of the late Robert A. and Betty J. (Schoen) White, and was a graduate of Joliet Township East High School. She continued her education to become a Licensed Practical Nurse and worked as a nurse for the State of Illinois Department of Corrections at Stateville for many years.
Linda was a caring person who spent her life caring for others. Despite her feisty personality she had a heart of gold.

She is survived by her loving daughters, Michelle Lynn (nee Stone) Foster and Traci (nee Kuk) Putnam; her adoring grandchildren, Jacob Robert Foster, Jacob Marek, Preston Marek, Alisa Putnam, Kinsley Steele, Nicole Foster, and Stephen (Erin) Foster; one great-grandchild coming in February; dear cousins, April Duke and Nancy Duke, her beloved furry baby, Jazzy; a son-in-law, Lawrence Foster; and best friend, Laurel (Donald) Muhlenbruch.
Preceded by her husband, Richard L. Stone (August 25, 2016); her parents; and one brother, David W. White.
Visitation for Linda Stone will be held Sunday, July 9, from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m., at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black Road, Joliet. Family and friends will meet on Monday, July 10, 2023 at 11:00 a.m., at Woodlawn Memorial Park I, Joliet for graveside services.
