Retiree of the Joliet Herald News, who cherished Sunday lunches with his family, passes away at age 73.

Thomas Joseph Kutsie
Thomas Joseph Kutsie, age 73, of Joliet, passed away peacefully, Monday, March 24, 2025, at Lightways Hospice, with his loving family by his side. He was born February 23, 1952, in Joliet, the son of the late Joseph John and Mary Vivian (nee McDonald) Kutsie.

Tom graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Lewis University. He worked as a Credit Analyst in the newspaper media industry, finishing his career at the Joliet Herald News. Tom enjoyed watching sports, especially his favorite team, the Chicago White Sox. He had a passion for karaoke and cherished Sunday lunches with his children and grandchildren.
Tom is survived by his sons, Nicholas Thomas Kutsie of Joliet, and Richard Joseph (Dana) Kutsie of Joliet; grandchildren, Quinn and Rose Kutsie; and sister, Patricia (Daniel) Raymond.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Daniel Kutsie.
Visitation for Thomas Kutsie will be held on Friday, March 28, 2025, at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home 3200 Black Rd., Joliet, IL from 11:00 a.m. until the time of Funeral Service at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park.
