Tristian will be remembered fondly as an energetic hard-working soul who thoroughly enjoyed cars.

Tristian Joseph Chaffee

Age 19, of Plainfield, IL passed from this life Monday, July 6, 2020. He was born July 13, 2000 in Downers Grove, IL to Wendy (nee Wagner) and Joseph Chaffee. Tristian was raised in Plainfield and graduated with the class of 2018 from Plainfield South High School.

In addition to his parents, he is also survived by two sisters, Zangelica and Harli; maternal grandparents, Kenneth and Rosemary Wagner; aunts and uncles, Jeffrey (Addie) Wagner; Kenneth Jr. (Sandy) Chaffee, James (Laura) Chaffee, Delora Belanger, John Chaffee, Michael (Kelly) Chaffee and Francis (Robin) Chaffee. Many cousins also survive.

Preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Kenneth and Frances Chaffee.

Tristian will be remembered fondly as an energetic hard-working soul who thoroughly enjoyed cars. He attended many car shows, worked in the automotive industry at Mitsuboshi (MBL) in Ottawa and was proud of his Toyota’s, the Celica GTS, the RV, the 86, and even his most recent vehicle, “the meth truck”.

Visitation for Tristian will be held Friday, July 10, 2020 from 3-8 p.m. at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home 3200 Black Rd. (at Essington Rd.) in Joliet. Funeral services will take place Saturday, July 11, 2020 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Aux Sable Cemetery. Face coverings and distancing will be observed. In accordance with Illinois Phase 4 reopening protocols, we will be returning to more traditional visitation and funeral observances.
