A devoted mother and grandmother, who lived her life to help others, has passed at the age of 70.

Valerie Lillian Moore
Valerie Lillian Moore, age 70, passed away at her home in Shorewood on Monday, August 28, 2023. Born in Warren, OH on January 3, 1953, to the late Thomas J. and Valerie Moore, Valerie spent time in various areas across the country throughout her life, especially enjoying her time in Phoenix. She lived her life to help others, becoming a certified massage therapist, which enabled her to assist people dealing with pain. Valerie was also a very spiritual person, and a devoted mother and grandmother.

Valerie is survived by her children, daughter Emma Rogge (Ryan Boies) and son Daniel (Allana) Rogge; her grandchildren, Grayson and Noelle Boies, and Temperance and Willow Rogge; her siblings, Colleen (John) Pochron, Dr. Thomas (Nancy) Moore, James (Charlotta) Moore, Cecilia Hill (Terrance Dugan), and Daniel (Kay) Moore; and numerous nieces and nephews.
As was her final wish, cremation rites have been accorded, and private family services held. Inurnment is to take place at a later date at Assumption Cemetery in Glenwood. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to the MDS Foundation in Valerie’s name, or donate blood to your local blood bank to help others like Valerie, who are suffering from this disease.
