Vicki was born in Rockford, IL, on November 26, 1949. The first daughter to a young mother, she loved to talk about how they grew up together. She sincerely treasured their bond.

Vicki was a proud and supportive mom, and especially shined in her role as Nana to Ryan, Nolan, and Ashlyn Victoria. They were her true joy, and she thrived in the purpose they gave her after her retirement from teaching.
Vicki loved all things blue, butterflies, birds, plants, and flowers. She loved to decorate her deck every spring and kept all her outdoor critters well cared for, as she did with all those around her.
She was a strong and positive person with a love of music that she instilled in both her daughters. She attended two Beatles concerts and from that point on found that music gave her the power to prevail through difficult times.
Survived by her daughters, Carrie Pelton and Casey (Ryan) Sester; their father, Richard Pelton; cherished grandchildren, Ryan, Nolan, and Ashlyn Sester; sisters, Deborah Sundquist and Susan (Greg) Bouchard; nieces, Stephanie (Jerry) Green, Stacey Gerdes, and Lindsay (Tim) Anderson; nephew, Dustin Bouchard; lifelong friends, Deborah Ziech and Sally Wysong; and dear friend, Craig Hill.
Preceded in death by her father, Bernerd (Sandra) Lowery, and her beloved mother and stepfather, Patricia and Jack McFedries.
Vicki is already missed beyond measure, truly loved beyond words, and will forever be a part of the beautiful memories she created for those of us left behind.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in her name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
