Moran A.C. Sued By Bar Manager Over Contract
The Plainfield woman hired Plainfield lawyer John Schrock to file her lawsuit.

JOLIET, IL — Moran Athletic Club, a part of Joliet since 1931, is now facing a civil lawsuit filed by its recently ousted bar manager. Charlotte Faciano of Plainfield is suing Moran A.C for lost wages, her lost tip income, for 2 percent of the unpaid wages, plus she is seeking attorneys fees and court costs.
Faciano is represented by Plainfield lawyer John Schrock of John Schrock Law.
According to her lawsuit, Faciano and the Moran Athletic Club worked out a bar manager contract on Sept. 1 that called for Moran A.C. to employ her as its bar manager for one year at a yearly wage of $31,200 based on 40 hours of work.

The only way to void Faciano's contract, the lawsuit states, would be a two-thirds majority vote by the board of officers at the Moran Athletic Club. And that did not happen, according to the plaintiff and her Plainfield lawyer.
On Oct. 12, the president of the Moran Athletic Club, Rick Goepper, "unilaterally suspended plaintiff from working as the bar manager and hired a new bar manager to replace plaintiff," the lawsuit contends.

A two-thirds majority of Moran's board "never recommended that the contract ... be terminated," according to court documents.
The Will County lawsuit asks a judge for injunctive relief for breaching the terms of Faciano's contract with Moran A.C.
"That until a two-thirds majority of the board of officers of the Moran Athletic Club ... recommends to terminate this contract, plaintiff is entitled to be immediately reinstated to her position as bar manager," Schrock argues.
