The decision to temporarily suspend family visitation and to limit the entry of all non-essential personnel will remain in place until Symphony Joliet guests are free from the risk of additional exposure to Coronavirus.
Symphony Care Network asks families to be mindful that the CDC does not currently advise transferring elderly and medically frail individuals to private homes or to a hospital. Research around natural disasters and emergency events has proven that the associated consequences of sudden disruption of care and treatment plans can have long-lasting impact. Instead, families are encouraged to remain in close contact with their loved ones via telephone calls and texts, sharing social media messages, and video conferencing platforms.

While all Symphony Care Network and Caretel Inns facilities are taking great measures to conserve personal protection equipment in accordance with CDC recommendations, donations of sterile, unopened packages of NIOSH-certified face masks and gloves are tremendously valuable to those who provide direct medical treatment to infected individuals. The organization urges the Joliet community to consider donating surplus equipment to those fighting on the front lines of this pandemic.
