Plainfield-Area Attack Involves Knife In Bedroom: Joliet Police
Freddie Duncan, 42, was booked into Will County's Jail after Sunday's domestic violence at 4 a.m., arrest reports show.

JOLIET, IL — A 42-year-old man who lives in the Plainfield area was arrested in recent days by Joliet police after authorities say Freddie Duncan pulled out a sharp knife during an argument. The incident led to Duncan's detention at the Will County Jail on charges of aggravated battery and two counts of domestic battery.
The violence on Benich Lane happened while most people in the Plainfield and Joliet were sound asleep. Benich Lane is near Ruth Fitzgerald Drive and the Mayfair Park.
At 3:58 a.m. Sunday, Joliet police responded to Duncan's house in the 6500 block of Benich Lane for a disturbance. Duncan had attacked a woman with a knife in a bedroom of the residence, causing minor injuries to her arm. An adult daughter of the victim tried to intervene, and Duncan then struck her in the face.

Duncan was on the scene and was placed into custody without incident. The woman attacked with Duncan's knife was treated by Joliet Fire Department paramedics but was not transported to the hospital, according to Joliet police reports.
