Plainfield Area Felony Arrest On Riverside Drive By Joliet Police

JOLIET, IL — A 27-year-old Plainfield area man is now in the Will County Jail after Joliet police say Joseph Saltarski kept returning to home in the 4400 block of Riverside Drive where he was a choking a woman.

Sunday's violence happened around 6 p.m. and Saltarski was taken away from the property on felony charges of aggravated domestic battery, Joliet police announced.

According to Joliet police spokesman Dwayne English, the following events led to the 27-year-old arrest on felony crimes:

At 5:56 p.m., officers responded to a house in the 4400 block of Riverside Drive for a domestic disturbance.

Officers learned that during an argument, Saltarski choked an adult woman, using both hands as well as pushing her.

Saltarski fled the house before the officers arrived, and he was unable to be located at that time. Officers responded back to the house a second time, but still did not locate Saltarski.

A short time later, Joliet police responded back to the residence a third time after it was learned that Saltarski had returned to the home. That time, the officers arrived and placed him into custody without incident.

Saltarski remained in the Will County Jail as of 5 p.m. Monday.
