Plainfield Robber Puts Gun To Victim's Head In Joliet: Cops
The Plainfield woman remains inside the Will County Adult Detention Facility.

JOLIET, IL - A teenager from Plainfield has been charged with armed robbery after Joliet Police say she held a silver revolver up to a man's head as he was sitting inside of a parked car on Sherman Street last Thursday night. Alliyah Marie Thomas, 18, robbed the man, making him drive her to an ATM, according to police.
Joliet Police first learned of the crime around 10 p.m. last Thursday. "Upon arrival, the victim stated he was parked at the dead end of Sherman Street waiting for a friend who needed a ride, when he was approached by Thomas. The victim stated a silver revolver was held to his head and he was forced to drive," police said.
The victim followed Thomas' orders, police said. After making the ATM withdrawal, the two drove around for a while until (he) was kicked out of his vehicle near Maple and Briggs. The victim stated his money and his black Jeep Wrangler were then taken after he was dropped off at the corner of Briggs & Maple," police said.

As officers were taking an interview statement from the crime victim, the officers heard over the police radio that the carjacking victim's vehicle was found at Center and Bridge Streets, which is on Joliet's near west side.
"Officers were also informed that they had Thomas detained on scene. Officers brought the victim to the where his vehicle was located, and he positively identified Thomas as the suspect who robbed him. Thomas was then arrested for the above offense," police said.

Thomas lives in the 23700 block of South Springs Court, in Plainfield, jail logs show. Her bail is steep. It was set at $200,000.
She remained in county lockup on Monday night.
