Northern Illinois Food Bank Announces Emergency Food Distribution on Sat. May 9 at Joliet Junior College
Neighbors will receive free groceries and are encouraged to arrive early. No ID required. First come, first served while supplies last.
Due to anticipated changes in SNAP benefits, Northern Illinois Food Bank is preparing to serve an estimated 35,000 additional neighbors in May and June, resulting in approximately 1 million additional meals needed during this time period.
To help meet this increased demand, the Food Bank will host a pop-up drive-through mobile food distribution on:

Joliet Junior College

This mobile pop-up will distribute groceries at no cost to approximately 750 households. The event is designed to provide immediate relief for families impacted by rising need and changes in federal food assistance.
The distribution will be first come, first served, while supplies last, and is open to anyone in need.
