Loving family man and avid fisherman

Ramon Vasquez, Jr.

Age 65, Ramon Vasquez, peacefully transitioned from this life on October 17, 2023, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on June 6, 1958, in San Antonio, Texas, to his parents Raymond and Estella Vasquez. Ramon's passing leaves a void in the hearts of those who knew and cherished him.

Ramon is survived by his devoted wife, Debra, his sons Richard Vasquez, Raymond (Cecelia) Vasquez, and Paul Pinnell, and his daughters Akisha Pinnell (Walls) and Atasha Pinnell (Travis). His days were illuminated by the love and laughter of his cherished grandchildren: Raymond Jr., Rayne, Nikolaja, Raven, Geno, Danny, and Julian. He is also survived by his siblings Ramiro Vasquez, Rodolfo Vasquez, Orlando Vasquez, and Crisela Puga.

Ramon dedicated 25 years of his life to Ivex Paper Mill, where his hard work and commitment left an indelible mark. His colleagues remember him as a reliable and diligent worker.

Outside of his professional life, Ramon's true passion was fishing, and he found immense joy in participating in the Happy Hookers Bass Tournament. This hobby allowed him to connect with nature and bond with fellow anglers who shared his love for the sport. His fishing adventures were filled with stories, laughter, and unforgettable moments.

Ramon's warm and welcoming personality touched the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing him. His infectious smile and kind-hearted nature made him a beloved figure in the community. He cherished his time with family and friends, always ready to offer support and share in their joys and sorrows.

Ramon's memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. He leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and a strong work ethic. He will be deeply missed by family, friends, and colleagues, and his absence will be felt in the community he was so much a part of.

A memorial service to celebrate Ramon's life will be held at the Carlson-Holmquist-Sayles Funeral Home & Crematory, located at 2320 Black Rd., on Saturday, October 28th, at 12:00 P.M.
