Roadside Safety Check Finds Liquor, Cocaine And Pot: Police
This 29-year-old Joliet woman was riding in the passenger of Jeep Cherokee.

JOLIET, IL - A 29-year-old Joliet woman is now staying at the Will County Jail after Joliet Police busted her for having cocaine, marijuana and open liquor in the passenger seat of a Jeep over the weekend, according to police reports. Marisa Nations, who lives in the 1500 block of South Chicago Street, is now housed in the unit block of South Chicago Street, where she has been charged with felony possession of a controlled substance.
Joliet Police officers approached Nations around 10:50 p.m. Saturday during a roadside safety checkpoint taking place in the 400 block of West Jefferson Street. She was riding inside a black Jeep Cherokee.
"While speaking with the driver of the vehicle, officers noticed a liquor bottle by the left leg of the front seat passenger, later identified as Nations. Officer asked Nations to hand them the bottle, which she did," police reports show.

Nations and the driver were told to step outside the Jeep so Joliet Police could search it for drugs.
"A search of the vehicle produced a small container filled with cannabis. Officers asked Nations if she had any drugs on her person, and Nations produced a clear plastic baggie with cocaine inside. Nations was taken into custody for the above offense," police reports show.

Nations was scheduled to appear before a Will County judge for a Monday afternoon bail hearing.
