
Robert C. “ Bob” Davenport Jr.
Passed away unexpectedly at home on January 15, 2024 in Joliet. Age 78.
Bob is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Barbara (nee Jadron) Davenport; his sons Jeffrey Davenport and Jason (Renate) Davenport; his grandsons David and Jackson Davenport, special sister-in-law Patricia Jadron, brother-in-law Pete Jadron, brother Richard (Debbie) sister Judy (William) Vance, special cousin Barak (Heidi) Hootman and numerous friends and relatives.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Hazel Davenport and in laws Pete and Dorothy Jadron Nikonchuk.

Born November 29, 1945. Bob graduated from Joliet Township High School in 1964. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1965 to 1979 as a Pety Officer in the NATO Unit.
Bob was a lineman/splicer for Illinois Bell (Ameritech SBC) from 1979 until his retirement in 2008. After retiring Bob worked for Bass Pro Shop and was a certified master fly fisherman. Bob served on the Rainbow Council Boy Scouts of America. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and uncle.

Funeral services will be held at the Carlson-Holmqiust-Sayles Funeral Home & Crematory, 2320 Black Rd., Friday, January 19th at 11:00 A.M.
