Route 59 Walmart Lands New Nearby Restaurant
The restaurant development was approved by Joliet's City Council in April.

JOLIET, IL — If you have driven by the Walmart on Route 59 recently, you've certainly noticed the large construction project on the outskirts of the property. A large building shell has been erected and contractors are going to town. City of Joliet Economic Development Specialist Derek Conley confirmed to Patch on Thursday that the construction is for a Panda Express restaurant.
Patch first reported on the project back in April when the Joliet City Council approved plans for a drive-thru window.
If construction continues at its current pace, Joliet's new Panda Express should open before the year is done.
