Russo's Italian Deli & Cafe Closing Its Doors On Plainfield Road
The new dine-in and carryout restaurant on Route 30 hoped to draw customers from Joliet, Plainfield, Crest Hill, Shorewood and Romeoville.

CREST HILL, IL — Sara Russo opened the Russo's Italian Deli at 2424 Plainfield Road last November 30, but on Monday, the Crest Hill Italian restaurant announced it was going out of business.
"We are sad to announce that we will soon be closing our doors," Russo's Italian Deli posted on its Facebook page. "This was our first business, we have learned and grown so much from this wonderful opportunity. We are in the beginning stages of looking for someone to take over the space we currently occupy, so if you know anyone looking, please feel free to reach out."
Russo's said it hasn't determined when its final date of business will be.

Russo's was right next to the Speedway gas station along the busy Route 30 corridor.
"At this time we do not have a hard set date for our final day, but we will keep you all in the loop," the restaurant informed its Facebook followers. "As we are beginning to close, some items will become unavailable permanently, so if you have something you want to get, now is the time. Again, our family thanks you for allowing us to be a part of yours, even if it was for only a short period of time."
