Joliet Woman, 69, Pushed Into Bathtub, Taken To Hospital: Joliet Cops
During an argument, Jordan Thurston had pushed the 69-year-old woman while she was in the bathroom, causing her fall, police noted.

JOLIET, IL — A 27-year-old Joliet man is being detained for the fourth time since 2022 and the latest arrest involving Jordan Thurston resulted in his 69-year-old victim being sent to St. Joe's hospital, according to Joliet police.
Thurston, who comes from the 2500 block of Ruth Fitzgerald Drive, remains in the Will County Jail where he's charged with domestic battery, aggravated battery, criminal property damage and obstructing justice.
Monday's incident happened at 8:25 p.m.

According to Joliet police spokesman Dwayne English:
- Officers responded to a house in the 2300 block of Benedict Avenue for a domestic disturbance.
- During an argument, Thurston had pushed the 69-year-old woman while she was in the bathroom. The victim fell and landed in the bathtub.
- Thurston then struck the victim multiple times in the head. Thurston was placed into custody without incident. However, while the officers walked Thurston to a squad car, he threw himself to the ground and refused to get back up to his feet. Thurston eventually stood back up and then threw his body against a squad car, damaging a rear passenger quarter panel.
- Thurston was secured in the squad car and taken to the Joliet Police Department. Thurston refused to be processed, and he was transferred to the County Adult Detention Facility.
- The 69-year-old victim was taken to Ascension St Joseph Medical Center by the Joliet Fire Department for treatment of her injuries suffered in Thurston's attack.
