School Shooting Threat At Joliet West, Police Presence Increased
Joliet West High School will have an added Joliet police presence on Tuesday, school officials said.

JOLIET, IL — Joliet Township High School spokeswoman Kristine Schlismann announced that school officials were notified of a social media threat referencing a shooting directed at Joliet West High School on Tuesday morning.
The Joliet police are investigating, and we are searching students upon entry to school, she said. There is an additional police presence at Joliet West High School this morning.
"We will communicate additional information as we receive it," she said. "The safety of our students and staff is our first priority."
