GENERAL MAINTENANCE WORKER (part-time)
"Applications are being accepted for a part-time General Maintenance position. This position is responsible for performing preventive maintenance and light repair work at Joliet's Union Station. Successful candidate will work approximately 30-35 hours per week. Salary range is $10.96 to $15.47 per hour/NO BENEFITS. Application deadline is 03/23/2018 at 4:30 p.m."

MAINTENANCE WORKER
"The City is hiring for current and future maintenance worker positions in the Public Works & Utilities departments. Job related duties are as follows: Sewer Department: Maintains storm and sanitary sewer system; Locates and repairs defective sewer tiles; Excavates and repairs collapsed pipes; Clears blockages, cleans and water jets sewer lines and structures.
Wastewater Treatment Plant Operations: Performs daily inspections and maintenance of utility plants to assure proper operation and clean and orderly conditions; Assists plant operator.
Roadways Department: Repairs and patches streets, sidewalks and curbs, operates air hammer and other equipment; Rebuilds streets, inlets and catch basins; Installs and replaces street and traffic signs; Straightens and replaces parking meter posts; Plows snow. In order to apply you must have/provide a copy of a valid State of Illinois “CDL w/Air Brakes” motor vehicle operator’s license. Prior experience is preferred. Must possess a valid driver’s license and establish residency in the City of Joliet corporate limits within eighteen (18) months from date of hire. Salary range: $46,749-$88,162 w/Benefits. "This position performs a variety of high-level police specific clerical and other office duties including data entry, typing, filing and handling complaints in person and on the telephone at the Joliet Police Department. Candidates must be able to accurately type at the rate of 50 wpm. Hours are rotating shift work. Salary range: $35,778-$64,480. CIVIL ENGINEER II
"The City of Joliet Department of Public Utilities is seeking qualified candidates for the Civil Engineer II position. Job responsibilities include performing all aspects of professional engineering work in connection with the design, investigation, development, maintenance or construction of public works, wastewater or water systems engineering projects as appropriate and acting as a project leader overseeing lower level engineering staff. Qualified individuals must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from a College/University of recognized standing with major work in Civil Engineering and be a Registered Professional Engineer in the State of Illinois or have the ability to obtain such registration within six (6) months of appointment through reciprocity.
