JOLIET, IL — In what will be remembered as the best New Orleans North festival organized by the Joliet Chamber of Commerce since the pandemic, more than 5,000 people walked the downtown streets of Joliet on Friday evening eating Cajun cuisine, listening to live music and enjoying the Mardi Gras atmosphere.

Here's a collection of Friday night's photos that captured the essence of fun shared by thousands during the six-hour-long New Orleans North along North Chicago Street.

In addition, Joliet Patch produced a separate standalone photo and video story on Friday night's popular Drag Show presented by the Joliet Pride Network on the main stage.
