The All-Illinois Junior Band was founded to create a premier musical experience for the state’s finest middle school band students. Its goals are to provide an opportunity for the students to perform excellent literature with a mature ensemble and distinguished conductor and to inspire them to continue their musical studies.
The students in the All-Illinois Junior Band will perform together on February 8 and 9, 2019, at the University of Illinois Krannert Center for the Performing Arts. The guest conductor will be Dr. Elizabeth B. Peterson, Associate Director of Bands and Clinical Professor of Music at the University of Illinois.
