Shorewood Sweater Thief Was Banned From Walmart In 2016: Complaint
In 2016, Alexandria "Alex" Cummings stole Dickies-brand shorts from the Walmart on Weber Road.

JOLIET, IL - Last year, Shorewood resident Alexandria "Alex" Cummings got permanently banned from the Walmart store on Romeoville's Weber Road. Now, she's being ordered not to set foot inside the Carson Pirie Scott store at the Louis Joliet Mall. The 35-year-old Shorewood woman spent all-day Saturday, Sunday and Monday inside the Will County jail in connection with her latest shoplifting arrest.
Cummings, who lives in the 1100 block of Geneva Street, was arrested on Saturday afternoon by Joliet police officers on charges of retail theft. She was caught stealing about $300 worth of sweaters at the Carson's Pirie Scott, police said. And it turns out that Cummings was also busted last year for shoplifting in the Joliet area.
Court documents at the Will County Courthouse show that Cummings was arrested on April 23, 2016 at the Walmart in the 400 block of South Weber Road. Romeoville police determined that Cummings stole six pairs of Dickies brand shorts worth $108 and one bag of chips worth $1.28. She eventually pleaded guilty to that offense. Cummings was fined $350 by the judge, given six months court supervision and she was banned from the Walmart on Weber Road.

Cummings is no longer in Will County lockup. She was released from custody around 1:30 a.m. Tuesday. A judge gave her a $3,500 bond, meaning she had come up with 10 percent bail.
As a condition of her bond, Cummings has been ordered to stay away from Carson Pirie Scott.
