A second stabbing victim remains in stable condition at Silver Cross Hospital, according to Joliet police.

JOLIET, IL — A 40-year-old man died early Monday morning after being stabbed, and a second man, also 40, remains at Silver Cross Hospital with stab wounds after violence broke out around 1 a.m. at the Spanish American Club, 413 Meeker Ave.
Will County Coroner Laurie Summers announced the 40-year-old victim has been identified as Joliet resident Jorge Chiguil Toto.
Joliet police found the two men outside the bar and "it is believed that both victims were stabbed following an altercation with a male suspect inside the bar," Joliet police's Dwayne English told Joliet Patch.

Joliet Fire Department ambulances rushed the two victims to Silver Cross, where one of the men died. The other victim is now in stable condition, English noted. The 50-year-old attack victim refused medical treatment.
