Stolen Car Crashes Into Joliet Squad, Taser Deployed By Police: Cops
A marked Joliet Police squad was westbound on Bridge Street approaching Bluff Street and was struck by the Chrysler.

JOLIET, IL — Three young adults, led by 22-year-old Chicago native Antonious Dixon, have been captured by Joliet police in connection with a stolen car. Joliet police say they refused to pull over, striking a Joliet police squad car while trying to get away from the police.
Officers used a Taser to subdue Dixon, and he's now in the Will County Jail charged with aggravated unlawful use of a weapon, unlawful possession of a weapon by a felon, unlawful possession of ammunition, having No FOID, criminal trespass to motor vehicle, obstructing a peace officer and resisting a peace officer.
One of Dixon's friends, 18-year-old Louis Jones of Joliet, was arrested and released on a Notice to Appear in Court on charges of possession of a stolen motor vehicle and obstructing a peace officer.

Trevonn Walker, 20, of Joliet, was also given a Notice to Appear in Court on charges of criminal trespass to a motor vehicle and obstructing a peace officer.
Joliet police spokesman Dwayne English said the following events led to the capture of the three suspects:

- On October 5, 2023, at 1:56 a.m., officers found a Chrysler 300 westbound on Jackson Street that was previously reported stolen.
- The vehicle crossed over the bridge and continued westbound on Bridge Street, at which time the vehicle was traveling westbound in the eastbound lane. A marked Joliet Police squad was westbound on Bridge Street approaching Bluff Street and was struck by the Chrysler.
- The Chrysler continued to flee at a high rate of speed to the 300 block of Lime Street, where all three people ran from the stolen vehicle.
- Dixon fell while running, and when the officers tried to place him into custody, Dixon continued to resist by pulling away and reaching into his pants.
- Joliet police deployed a taser and Dixon was placed into custody. Upon the search of Dixon, officers recovered a loaded handgun.
- Officers found Jones and Walker and placed both into custody without further incident
- Jones was cited for having no valid license, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, improper lane usage, three counts of disobeying a stop sign and two counts of failure to signal.
