Subaru Ambassadors Deliver Comfort and Warmth

Through Subaru’s Love Promise, Hawk Subaru and local Subaru Ambassadors took action by partnering with MorningStar Mission Ministries to personally deliver items to those in need on Saturday, November 20, 2021. Drawstring bags containing water-resistant blankets, warm socks, insulated masks, and toiletry kits were distributed to attendees of MorningStar Mission Ministries’ “Thanksgiving Banquet and Great Thanksgiving Coat Distribution”.

Subaru Ambassadors J. Mykel Hill, Christine Hill, Rob Barton, and Viridiana Esparza, along with members of Subies of the Corn, assembled the kits at Hawk Subaru. In total, over 60 kits were assembled, all from donated items from Subaru and Hawk Subaru. A cruise was organized to MorningStar Mission Ministries, where the items were distributed to those in need.

Hill stated “This was such an amazing and humbling experience! Through the support from Subaru of America and Hawk Subaru, we were able to help make an immediate impact for someone experiencing hardship.”

Esparza stated “Being a single mom and seeing other single parents with a greater need was impactful. I love that Subaru is there to help and is more than just a car brand.”

Last November, as part of Subaru Loves to Help, Subaru and their retailers provided 50,000 warm blankets to homeless shelters across the country. This year, Subaru is doing it again to bring the total donation to 100,000 blankets to help those experiencing homelessness. In addition to more blankets, Subaru is also donating 50,000 pairs of socks. Showing warmth and compassion for those who find themselves without a roof over their heads this season is just one of the ways Subaru is doing even more to make a difference.
