Target, Forest Preserve District Offering Teacher Grants
Each Target store in the country will provide three field trip grants, which will be awarded to local teachers who apply for them.

Target stores have partnered with the Forest Preserve District of Will County to award three field trip grants per store to send a K-12 class on a trip to glean authentic insights in the realm of the arts, science, environmental initiatives, community outreach or civic projects.
Applications for grants up to $700 are being accepted until Oct. 1. Teachers are limited to one grant submission.
Past recipients of the Target grant included Carl Sandburg Elementary School in Joliet and Oak Prairie Junior High School in Homer Glen, according to the Forest Preserve District of Will County Web site.
