Taste Of Joliet 2024: Rock Music Lineup Revealed For June 21

The Joliet Park District is coming off its most successful Taste of Joliet ever. The 2023 Taste shattered the all-time attendance records.

JOLIET, IL — The Joliet Park District is excited to announce that the Goo Goo Dolls will be the Friday night headliner at the 2024 Taste of Joliet.

"We are so excited to have the Goo Goo Dolls at the Taste this year. 2023 was amazing and we are hoping for more of the same this summer," Joliet Park District executive director Brad Staab said on Monday morning to Joliet Patch.

The Goo Goo Dolls have sold over 15 million records worldwide, garnered four Grammy Award nominations and nearly a dozen platinum & gold singles combined, and grabbed a page in the history books by achieving 16 number one and Top 10 hits. As a result, they hold the all-time radio record for “Most Top 10 Singles.”

Among a string of hits, “Iris” held #1 on the Hot 100 for 18 straight weeks and would be named “#1 Top 40 Song of the Last 20 Years.” On the heels of going viral on TikTok, the track recently achieved seven-times-platinum status and re-entered the Billboard charts.

The Goo Goo Dolls will take the stage at 9 p.m. on Friday, June 21 at the Taste of Joliet. Tickets are available for purchase now at www.tasteofjoliet.com. Taste of Joliet takes place every June at Memorial Stadium, 3000 West Jefferson Street.

Previous Friday night headliners at the Taste of Joliet include: Train, REO Speedwagon, STYX, Sammy Hagar and Cheap Trick.

What's next? Joliet Park District officials say they hope to unveil their Saturday night music acts for Country Night within the next few weeks. Last year featured Tyler Hubbard of Florida Georgia Line and Mitchell Tenpenny as the main draws, plus there were two wedding proposals Saturday night.
