JOLIET, IL — The wait is over, almost. Taste of Joliet begins at noon Friday and goes to midnight. The hours are noon to midnight again Saturday, and Sunday noon to 8 p.m.

Admission is $16 at the gate. Kids 11 and younger are free and seniors (62 and older) are $5. People can still buy their admission tickets online at the Taste of Joliet website for $2 cheaper, but you will no longer be able to do that as 12:01 a.m. Friday.

Friday's main music act is Foreigner. Saturday, which features country music, will have Cole Swindell as the main act. The main musical acts Friday and Saturday take the stage around 9 p.m.

"We're going to have a great turnout both nights," Joliet Park District Director Brad Staab assured Joliet Patch on Thursday morning at Memorial Stadium.
