JOLIET, IL — On Monday morning, Joliet Park District director Brad Staab announced that the upcoming Taste of Joliet will not take place in late June because of uncertainty regarding the new coronavirus. The park district had booked Bret Michaels of Poison and Vince Neil of Motley Crue to perform as the main music acts for Friday, June 26, but that won't happen now.

"While we would love to see you at the Taste of Joliet in June, the health and safety of our fans, artists, volunteers, partners, vendors, first responders and staff is, and always will be, our main priority," Staab wrote in Monday's announcement.

People who purchased tickets for the three-day 2020 Taste of Joliet will be contacted shortly, Staab said, and explained their options.

"Each of the artists that are scheduled to perform at Taste of Joliet 2020 are intending to play next year, barring any scheduling conflicts from events that were forced to be rescheduled for 2021," Staab indicated.
