Treat Your Pup To A 'St. Paw-trick's Day' Party

Start your St. Patrick's Day celebration early with a festive pre-holiday outing with your dog, who, let's face it, is really in need of some fun after the long, cold winter.
The Forest Preserve District of Will County's free, all-ages St. Paw-trick's Day party will be held from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, March 12, at the Lower Rock Run dog park. The dog park is located at Lower Rock Run Preserve – McClintock Road Access in Joliet. Registration is required by March 10. Sign up online or call 815-727-8700.
"St. Paw-trick’s is going to be a super fun dog event filled with fun games and activities," said Jen Guest, the Forest Preserve's recreation coordinator. "We are going to have a doggy kissing booth, a scavenger hunt, games, doggy social time and more to get your pooch pals active and having fun in the dog park."

Each dog will leave with a few dog-friendly giveaways courtesy of the Forest Preserve District as well as a chance to win some prizes donated by two generous local businesses,The Feed Loft in Channahon and Forepaws in Minooka.
You and Fido can wear your finest green garb to celebrate this fun and unique twist on St. Patrick’s Day.

A 2022 Forest Preserve District of Will County dog park pass is required to attend. If you don’t already have one, you can buy it at the event.
