Woman Tried Biting ER Guard, Spat On Nurse At St. Joe's: Cops
Joliet Police officers charged the woman with two crimes.

JOLIET, IL - A 28-year-old Joliet woman was arrested over the weekend after Joliet Police say she tried biting the wrist of a security guard at Presence Saint Joseph Medical Center and also spit into the face of an emergency room nurse. Justine Turk, who lives in the 900 block of Hollyberry Lane, was arrested by the Joliet Police Department and booked into the Will County jail early Sunday morning around 3 a.m.
Turk faces charges of aggravated battery and aggravated assault. According to police, Turk was at the Joliet hospital being treated "for an overdose."
While there, "Turk became belligerent and verbally abusive to emergency room security and the nursing staff," police say.

During her outburst, she tried biting one of the security guards on his wrist, but he managed to pull away his arm before her teeth dug into his skin, police indicated. Turk then turned her toward one of the nurses who was in the room treating her and she "spit in her face," police said.
Once the hospital finished treating Turk, Joliet Police arrested her and took her to the county jail in downtown Joliet. A Will County judge set her bail at $75,000, 10 percent. She remained in the county's detention as of late Tuesday afternoon.
