TWELFTH NIGHT: Bringing Shakespeare to the Suburbs

Do you have a love or curiosity for Shakespeare? Have you ever wanted to experience theater-in-the-round? You need look no further.

BARD IN THE BURBS, a new group conceptualized by director Sean Ogren, is staging its production of William Shakespeare’s “Twelfth Night” or “What You Will”, beginning Saturday, September 25th at 8pm.

“Twelfth Night” is a tale of mistaken identity, madness from mischief, & the power of true love. We follow the story of Viola, a young woman wrecked with heartache, as she deceives Count Orsino in an attempt to foster his love. The show, a 95-minute abridged rendition of the classic play, will offer audiences comedy, heartache, love, lust and longing, not to mention a bit of swordplay and a touch of music.

The cast, featuring actors from around the Chicagoland suburbs, includes: Dave Amato, Andrew Dameron, Erin Dameron, Lisa Dawn Curran, Zach Gibson, Ken Kaden, Peter Lemongelli, Fletcher Ogren, Sean Ogren, Sharon Voss, Christopher Williams, & Claire Yearman.

The play is directed by Sean Ogren & Suzanne Ogren. Stage management for this production is provided by Michelle Ho.

“Twelfth Night” will take the stage Saturdays 9/25 & 10/1 at 8pm and Sundays 9/26 & 10/2 at 7pm. All performances will take place at Stacey De & Company School of Performing Arts, located at 1946 University Lane in Lisle.
