Twin Oaks Attacker Uses Window To Gain Entry, Harm Woman: Police
Vincent Gentile then forcefully took the victim's cell phone from her and fled the area in a vehicle, Joliet poliet announced.

JOLIET, IL — A 24-year-old Plainfield man is now in the Will County Jail after Joliet police say Vincent Gentile attacked a female acquaintance by using a window to gain access to her apartment in the 100 block of Twin Oaks Drive on Saturday night.
Joliet police say they captured Gentile, and he's being charged with domestic Battery, criminal trespass, theft, two counts of resisting a peace officer and obstructing justice.
Joliet police spokesman Dwayne English said the following events led to Gentile's arrest:

- At 10:47 p.m. Saturday, officers learned that Gentile had entered into the woman's apartment through an open window and then struck the victim in the leg.
- Gentile then forcefully took the victim’s cell phone from her and fled the area in a vehicle.
- Joliet police learned that Gentile may be at a house in the 400 block of Nicholson Street. When officers attempted to place Gentile into custody, he began to resist by refusing to stand up from a couch and by pulling his arms away.
- Gentile was placed into custody following the struggle. Gentile was taken to the Joliet Police Department, where he refused to cooperate with booking procedures. From there, Gentile was then transferred to the Will County Adult Detention Facility.
