Two Men Jailed For Joliet Drive-By Shooting: Police
A woman was also arrested but later set free.

Two men were jailed in connection with a Sunday night Joliet drive-by shooting.
Willie Waddell, 26, of Joliet and Trevon Terry, 21, of Louisville, KY, were arrested following the 9:30 p.m. shooting near the corner of Jasper and Ottawa streets.
A 42-year-old man was standing on the corner by his car and chatting with two ladies when a Nissan Altima cruised by twice. The second time, the driver opened fire.

The gunman, who turned out to be Waddell, missed the man but hit the back bumper of his parked car, police said.
Officers located the fleeing vehicle moments later near the junction of Chicago Street and Interstate 80. Officers found a pistol during a search of the car.

Waddell was charged with the aggravated discharge of a firearm, possession of a firearm by a street gang member, and possession of ammunition without a firearm owner’s identification card. Terry was charged with the aggravated unlawful use of a weapon, possession of a firearm by a felon, and possession of ammunition without a firearm owner’s identification card.
A 23-year-old Joliet woman was also arrested for the aggravated unlawful use of a weapon but was later released without charge.
To make things even worse for Terry, he turned out to have a two-and-a-half-year-old warrant for his arrest. He was charged with trespassing and criminal damage to property. The case stemmed from an incident with his then-girlfriend, police said, and Terry was living on Whitley Avenue in Joliet at the time.
