Tyson Motors Fraudster Goes To Jail: Complaint

Shorewood's Police Department put together the case against the Joliet man.

SHOREWOOD, IL -A 26-year-old Joliet man faces two felony charges after Shorewood's Police Department charged him with committing forgery at the Tyson Motors dealership. The complaint against James Poston Jr., 1300 block of Demmond Court, was filed Oct. 25.

Poston faces one felony charge of forgery and one felony charge of possession of a fraudulent identification card.

The criminal complaint states that Poston "with the intent to defraud, knowingly delivered a false document to Tyson Motors ... purported to have been made by another, United States Cold Storage, said document being a pay stub for James Poston knowing the document to have been made" illegally.

The second charge states that Poston "displayed a fraudulent identification card for ... obtaining any account, credit, credit card or debit card from a bank, financial institution ... to purchase a vehicle from Tyson Motors."

Poston's bail was set at $50,000. After spending two days in Will County's jail, he came up with 10 percent to post bond on Oct. 26.
