Uber Rider With Heroin And Other Drugs Arrested: Joliet Police
Joliet police developed information Antwonn McGee may be a passenger in an Uber vehicle last seen near Weber Road and West Normantown Road.

JOLIET, IL — A 31-year-old drug-dealer in the Joliet area was captured this week after Joliet police learned he was using an Uber near Romeoville, according to arrest reports.
Now, Antwonn McGee is in the Will County Jail with a $750,000 bail. The Plainfield man faces charges of armed violence, unlawful use of a weapon by a felon, possession of a stolen firearm, seven counts of possession of a controlled substance with the intent to deliver, possession of cannabis – more than 2,000 but less than 5,000 grams and two counts of obstructing/resisting a peace officer.

- Around 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Joliet police discovered McGee may be a passenger in an Uber vehicle last seen near Weber Road and West Normantown Road in Romeoville.
- Officers conducted a traffic stop in the 1100 block of West Normantown Road and McGee was a passenger. Upon search of the vehicle, officers recovered a large amount of suspected cocaine, heroin, and cannabis that appeared to be packaged for delivery.
- Officers also recovered cash and a loaded handgun that was stolen. McGee was processed at the Joliet Police Department and transferred to the Will County Adult Detention Facility.
